Contemporary Abstract Art Inspired by Nature

Storm Coast

A woman with long brown hair and a beige sweater sitting on a black couch in a room with three abstract paintings on the wall behind her. The paintings are primarily in shades of green, black, gray, and beige. There is a green leafy plant in the bottom left corner.

Welcome

I paint what’s in my heart,

reflecting memories, emotions and imagery from the Canadian landscape.

I hope what you see here resonates with you.

Abstracting Nature in My Art

What inspires me the most:

The ocean’s power and rhythm, the vibrancy and infinite changeability of colours, and its emotional force.

Canadian landscapes, mountains and forest, nature ponds and their reflections, the textures of life everywhere.

The joy of a new leaf, a budding flower, and the randomness and persistence of life in the many wildlife-friendly gardens I’ve created.

Nature contains abstraction within it - I seek to capture it on canvas for collectors, homes and professional spaces.

Poseidon’s Realm

Canada’s inspiration is endless…

Scenes like this photo taken on Vancouver Island inspired my paintings “Storm Coast” (shown above) and “West Coast Wild.”

I create to celebrate and share my love of this beautiful land with others.

Rocky coastline with waves crashing against rocks, trees on a hill, cloudy sky over water.
